Holiday Glow Lighting Co, formerly known as Superior Holiday Lighting Saskatoon, is a premium holiday lighting company that has proudly served Saskatoon and the surrounding area since 2015. We offer professional sales, installation and service of exterior holiday lights for Christmas, Diwali, New Years, Halloween and more. We offer both seasonal and permanent lighting solutions for our clients.
With seasonal lighting, we offer a full service model to our clients where we provide the lights, labour, equipment and knowledge. We hang the lights, take them down, and store them for you in the off-season.
For permanent lighting, we install Gemstone Lights, which are the best quality, carry an exceptional warranty, and have the top of the line app functionality.
Our services cover both residential and commercial clients; brightening their holidays by lighting buildings and trees alike.
About Holiday Glow Lighting Co.
Our Story
Holiday Glow Lighting Co. started in 2015 in Saskatoon as Superior Holiday Lighting. Matt and Leanne followed the business model provided by their friend Steve in Regina, and set out to brighten the holidays of Saskatoonians with professional Christmas Light installation. Matt and Steve, friends since childhood, worked in an industry where they had seen far too many people fall off of ladders and roofs trying to hang poorly made lights with difficult to use hooks and clasps. They realized that there had to be a better way.
After a bit of research followed by a bit of trial and error, they found that there were in fact professional grade Christmas Lights out there, that provided a cleaner, brighter and more professional look. They applied their own industry experience with safety and safety equipment to make the job one that brings the injury risk to near zero and they set off to change the landscape of the Saskatchewan Holiday Season.
10 years, hundreds of satisfied clients, and two installers-turned-business-partners later, Matt, Leanne, Rueben, and Rob run multiple crews of lighting installers and spend our fall season every year brightening the homes and yards of people just like you!

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes we carry $2 million liability and worker’s compensation insurance. We also hold valid business licenses.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept VISA, Mastercard, e-transfers, cash and cheque payable to Holiday Glow Lighting Co.
How much does it cost to have my Christmas lights installed?

Do you take down the lights after Christmas?
Yes! We will ensure the safe removal of your lights after the holiday season. Removal service will begin based on weather. Lights cannot be removed at temperatures below -10 C. As soon as the weather warms up enough, we start taking down lights. Our ‘takedown season’, typically occurs between late February and early April.
Will you hang my old Christmas Lights?
Sorry we cannot do that. Here’s why: we used to. But over the years we have seen many fire hazards and even more poor quality lights that cannot be installed to our standards. To ensure compliance with insurance requirements and to ensure that you will be satisfied with your lights and that we are proud to attach our name to the work, we cannot install lights that are not purchased from us.
What about the other guys?
Over the years we have seen several ‘other guys’ come and go from the Christmas Lighting business within a season or two. We have been serving our customers for almost a decade and will continue to do so far into the future.
We are not part-timers trying to fill our winter months for our other main business. We are also not an unlicensed, uninsured fly-by-night operation on an online classified site. We are professionals.

Why should I use your Commercial grade LED lights? The retail stores have cheaper ones!
All the lights sold and used by Holiday Glow Lighting Co are commercial grade LED lights that utilize Canadian code-conforming electrical components and are just better than anything you can buy in store. Period.
Our lights are made to last, which is why we can offer a 3 year warranty on all lights that we install and take down on the off season. If any of the lights fail, we are the ones that show up and fix the problem or replace the lights – no hassle for you.
Our C9 and G30 bulbs are individually replaceable for a few dollars a piece after that warranty is over (as opposed to paying to replace an entire strand when a single bulb is out as in most store bought lights). In the long run you will save money.
Our bulbs boast 5 LED’s per bulb as opposed to one per bulb in typical store bought lights. This not only makes them brighter for minimal additional power draw, but also allows for a more robust casing that is more UV resistant and better able to withstand the extreme cold we sometimes face.
Our lights look better than store bought! Our socket line enters the sockets from the side, allowing the lights to hang straighter. In addition, or socket line is custom cut to your house – no more failing to hide the last several feet of a strand behind a downspout or on the corner of the roof.
So our bulbs are brighter, last longer, look better, are easier and cheaper to replace and are installed by professionals who handle any problems for you!
